The events are being organized by the Council of Canadians NWT Chapter and the Dechinta Centre for Research and Learning.

Ms. DePape came to national prominence as a Senate page in 2011, when she stood in protest during the Throne Speech, silently holding up a sign that said “Stop Harper!” She contributes to the hard-hitting political website ShitHarperDid, is a leader in PowerShift and a skills promoter through Beautiful Trouble.

Financial support is provided by the Northern Territories Federation of Labour, Public Service Alliance of Canada and the Union of Northern Workers.
